During the pandemic, we’re all missing the camaraderie of our Neighborhood Groups. So we've introduced The SEW, our new chapter-wide virtual Neighborhood Group.
The SEW stands for Share Everything Workshop. Think of TV shows like The Talk or The Chew. While we can’t have a real TV show, we can emulate one as a monthly gathering via Zoom. The guests on our talk show are our very own members and our retail supporters.
Participation in The SEW is free to all ASG members.
In keeping with ASG policy, guests are welcome to attend two The SEW presentations free of charge. After that, you must be an ASG member to attend. If you would like to attend, please email us.
Tuesday, February 23
7:30 pm-8:30 pm via Zoom
Bruce Heyman, owner of Fabricland in Green Brook, and Nancy Plominski, education coordinator, will give us a virtual tour of their store and talk about some great products and wonderful sewing classes.
“Antique Sewing Notions” – ASG member Denise Neissing will share a curated collection of sewing items that she has been gathering for more than 30 years.
“Sewing Toys and Dolls” – ASG member Judy Spinney will take us out of our quilts and garment construction comfort zone to explore the world of sewing toys and dolls.
Our program will be one hour BUT consider staying on for our After Party (8:30 - ?). It’s a chance to chat with your fellow sewers and catch up on everyone’s news. It’s the next best thing to being together in person.
